Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SoftballReady.net and related Softball Ready services. By creating an account or using member features, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create or control a Softball Ready account.
• If you create or manage a profile for a minor athlete, you represent that you are the athlete’s parent/legal guardian or an adult authorized by the parent/legal guardian and that you have authority to provide the information and content you submit.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity under your account.
• Information you provide must be accurate to the best of your knowledge and must not impersonate another person or organization.

2. What Softball Ready Provides

Softball Ready is a connection platform for the travel softball community. Features may include player and team profiles, team needs, pickup-player opportunities, tryouts, search tools, memberships, and private messaging.

Softball Ready is not a recruiting agency, team operator, tournament organizer, school, background-check service, or guarantor of any user. Unless a feature expressly states otherwise, Softball Ready does not independently verify a user’s identity, coaching credentials, team legitimacy, skill level, background, safety record, roster availability, or statements.

3. Safety and User Responsibility

• Adults are responsible for evaluating teams, coaches, players, tryouts, tournaments, travel arrangements, fees, and in-person meetings.
• Do not rely on Softball Ready as a substitute for appropriate background checks, references, organizational policies, parental supervision, or common-sense safety precautions.
• Do not publish a minor’s home address, personal phone number, personal email address, school schedule, daily routine, financial information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
• Users must comply with our Community Standards.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of photos, videos, profile text, listings, and other content you submit. You grant Softball Ready a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote within the service, and improve Softball Ready.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content, including permission to upload images or information relating to a minor athlete.

We may remove, restrict, or disable content that violates these Terms, our Community Standards, another person’s rights, or applicable law.

5. Membership and Automatic Renewal

The current Softball Ready membership price is $4.99 per year. The price and any applicable taxes will be disclosed before purchase.

Membership automatically renews annually until canceled. By activating membership, you authorize the recurring annual charge disclosed at checkout. You may cancel online through Softball Ready’s Manage Membership option, which opens Stripe’s secure customer portal. Cancel before the renewal date to prevent the next annual charge.

Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the already-paid membership period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where Softball Ready expressly agrees otherwise. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact info@softballready.net.

If membership pricing or renewal terms materially change, we will provide notice as required by applicable law before the change applies.

6. Member-Only Features

Creating and saving a profile may be free, but publishing/search visibility, opportunity directories, recruiting tools, and private messaging may require an active membership. Access rules may differ between player/family and coach accounts as explained on the site.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Softball Ready to:

• Harass, threaten, exploit, groom, stalk, or endanger another person;
• Solicit inappropriate contact with a minor or bypass a parent/guardian;
• Post false, fraudulent, deceptive, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful content;
• Scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse player, family, coach, or team information;
• Attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, or disrupt the service;
• Use information obtained through Softball Ready for unrelated marketing, spam, or commercial data brokerage.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts or content when we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms or Community Standards, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, or protect Softball Ready.

9. Disclaimers

Softball Ready is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful recruiting outcomes, roster placement, team quality, player performance, tournament participation, or that users will respond to messages or listings.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Softball Ready will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service or interactions between users. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited or waived.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Softball Ready, you acknowledge those practices.

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update Softball Ready and these Terms as the service develops. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date, and additional notice will be provided where required by law.
